They say progress is never linear,
and I think they might be right.
I used to brush my teeth to control my eating.
A way to tell myself, that’s enough.
Your teeth are clean, don’t dirty them with more food.
And now it’s 11pm, and I am hungry, and my teeth are brushed.
But this is now, not then.
So, I slide into my slippers
make my way to the kitchen
and eat a rice cake with peanut butter.
Knowing that I can brush my teeth once more
and that eating doesn’t mean I’m dirty.
This is progress.

Love it! Love you!
It’s NEVER too late for a peanut butter rice cake (or any treat for that matter)
